OCEANO To Contaminate The West Coast This January
December 3, 2010Fresh off of the success of their "Contagion Across The Nation" tour, Chicago deathcore heavyweights OCEANO have announced the "Contaminating The Coast" tour. Sponsored by AMP magazine and running throughout the month of January, the "Contaminating The Coast" tour will see the year's heaviest Billboard-charting act get in front of its rabid western fans who have been waiting a long time for the band's return. Trekking along with OCEANO will be their friends FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS, UPON A BURNING BODY, THE GREAT COMMISSION and I THE BREATHER.
The full list of dates for this January tour will be announced soon.
OCEANO's new album, "Contagion", sold around 3,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 3 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. Released on November 9 via Earache Records, the album was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who has previously worked with MUNICIPAL WASTE, THE ACACIA STRAIN, HATEBREED and SHADOWS FALL, among others.
OCEANO's "Weaponized" video can be viewed below. The clip was directed by Kevin J. Custer (TESTAMENT, HATEBREED, TOMBS, JUSTIN BIEBER) and features explosive performance footage of the bandmembers acting as a counterpoint to a high-tension situation that builds throughout the video.
